Historic building in town center, unbeatable location for price! Great for nightlife and socializing. Helpful staff, lovely balcony overlooking river.

second time in cesky krumlov, merlin was even better this stay. central location, helpful staff, clean rooms/bathrooms, and great atmosphere. a true gem for short breaks.

No hot water in downstairs bathroom.

I recently stayed at Hostel Merlin for two nights while visiting a nearby UNESCO world heritage site. The location of the hostel was amazing, right at the entrance into the city. The pictures of the property were absolutely true, with the river running right behind it. The hosts were incredibly helpful and the property, as well as my room, were very clean. Additionally, the hostel provided provisions for parking for guests with cars, which was a great convenience.

I got great value for my money at Hostel Merlin. The room was like a fairytale under the roof, with a nice view of the river. The location was perfect, within walking distance of all the interesting places, but without the crowdedness of the center. The staff was friendly and gave me great recommendations for dinner.

The main road leading to the hostel is made of stone, which was difficult to navigate with heavy luggage. It took longer to walk from the bus station, especially with suitcases.

The receptionist was unpleasent to deal with and created difficulties about the payment, refusing to accept a certain currency.

I recently stayed at a charming hostel in a great location. The staff was incredibly helpful and provided helpful information about the city. The hostel has a beautiful view of the river and a market right across the street. The facilities were spotless and the decor was lovely. The room, though small, was exactly as described and the bathroom was always clean. The staff even brought me a heater without me asking. It was a fantastic option with a kitchen, free tea, and coffee available. I'm glad I chose this hostel.

The location was perfect, right in the center of town and within walking distance to the bus and train stations. The value for money was very nice, especially considering the well-equipped kitchen where we could cook our own meals. The dorm rooms werenice and neat, and having two bathrooms on each floor was convenient. The supermarket just outside the hostel was a bonus. Alex, the host, was fantastic and the view from the balcony was beautiful.

During our romantic escape, we loved the charming and cosy atmosphere of the place. the rooms were simply furnished but very comfortable, with wide, wooden beds that ensured a good night's sleep. the clean bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen were additional perks that made our stay more enjoyable. the best part, however, was the incredible location. We were just a short walk away from the castle and other major attractions, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. It made exploring the city on foot a breeze. Plus, the free parking provided a great convenience and saved us both money and headaches.

there was a brief wait at check-in as there was no one at the reception initially. the friendly and informative staff quickly made up for it.
